Winter has arrived and with it starlings. I watched a HUGE group move to evade a hawk. I had my 500mm lens on so I couldn’t zoom back to include the entire group. The hawk would swoop into middle and the starlings would turn and dive in a group get away. At one point the huge group landed on my neighbors roof and automobile to take a break from the pursuit. I have no idea how they don’t knock each other out of sky. I zoomed in on the middle of one of the turns. Click to zoom in. Photos taken with D500 and 500mm prime
