Dark eyed juncos are back in yard for winter to use birdbath and pick up seeds. The quail and sparrows come to use the heated bird bath too. They also help themselves to whatever seeds the finches drop from the feeder. Keeping their feathers clean is important even in winter. It helps with heat distribution. I love watching the quail puff up to keep warm.
